Community Guidelines

Help us build a supportive community for people with dyslexia

Thank you for contributing to Dyslexia.Review! Our community thrives because of helpful members like you who share valuable resources. Please follow these guidelines to ensure your submissions are helpful and appropriate.

What to Submit

Tools

Apps, software, browser extensions, or online services that help people with dyslexia. Examples: text-to-speech tools, reading assistants, note-taking apps, spell checkers.

Books

Books about dyslexia, written by people with dyslexia, or books with dyslexia-friendly formatting. Include both educational and inspirational titles.

Scholarships

Scholarships specifically for students with dyslexia or learning differences. Include eligibility requirements and application deadlines when known.

Events

Conferences, workshops, webinars, or meetups related to dyslexia awareness, education, or support. Both virtual and in-person events are welcome.

Inspiration

Quotes, success stories, or facts about famous people with dyslexia. Share positive and encouraging content that motivates others.

Quality Standards

Be specific: Include the exact name of the resource and explain what it does

Share your experience: Tell us why you like it and how it helped you

Provide context: Mention who would benefit most from this resource

Be honest: Share both positives and any limitations you noticed

Stay relevant: Only submit resources directly related to dyslexia support

Writing Tips

Good example: "Voice Dream Reader is a text-to-speech app that reads books and PDFs aloud. I use it every day for school readings because it helps me focus better. The natural-sounding voices make it easy to listen for long periods. It's great for students who struggle with reading speed."

Avoid: "Great app!" (too vague) or promotional language like "This will solve all your problems!"

What NOT to Submit

Unrelated content: Resources not specifically for dyslexia support

Promotional spam: Multiple submissions of the same resource

Misleading information: False claims about effectiveness or results

Harmful content: Anything offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate

Personal information: Private contact details, addresses, or sensitive data

Duplicate submissions: Resources that are already listed on our platform

All submissions go through a review process before being published to ensure quality and relevance:

1You submit a resource through our form

2Our team reviews your submission within 2-5 business days

3Approved resources are published on the platform

4We may edit your submission for clarity or add additional information

Language and Tone

Use person-first language: Say "people with dyslexia" rather than "dyslexics"

Be respectful: Avoid negative stereotypes or assumptions
